Mountfield 1228M & 1228H

Designed with smaller gardens in mind, this Mountfield Lawn Rider handles perfectly, even in the most restricted areas.

Fitted with an 11.5hp Briggs and Stratton Engine it performs efficiently in all working conditions with power to spare. The 5 speed manual transmission on the 1228M features a 'soft start' clutch for smooth engagement every time the clutch is released. A hydrostatic transmission gives infinitely variable speed control in forward and reverse at the touch of a lever on the 1228H.

All the controls are laid out in a clear and logical way for use. Driver comfort is also assured with an adjustable , high back seat.

Grass clippings are discharged to the rear of the machine, this keeps the overall width to a mere 30'' (76cm) inches whilst increasing collection efficiency over traditional systems. The 170 litre capacity rear mounted collector can be emptied from the driving position. An audible alarm notifies the operator when the collector is full and resets automatically when it has been emptied.

A powerful 28'' (72cm) inch working width rear discharge cutter deck ensures perfect grass cutting and collection whatever the conditions. Garden debris such as fallen leaves and pine needles can also be collected. It also features a deck wash facility that utilises any hose with snap on connector.

Mountfield 1438 M SD

Based on the market leading 1436 models, our new Mountfield 1438M SD (Side Discharge) provides an effective solution for those of you who do not wish to collect your grass clippings.

In vigorous or tall growth conditions the side discharge mode neatly cuts and spreads the grass, allowing it to wilt naturally. For areas that are being mown on a more regular basis choose the mulching function, this allows the clippings to be cut and re-cut into small particles that disappear down into the lawn returning valuable nutrients to the soil.

Extremely manoeuvrable, the 1438M SD does not have the added length associated with grass collecting tractors. This also ensures you can have a high specification machine at a very competitive price.

This tractor is easy to start and a pleasure to use with a powerful 13.5hp engine featuring electric key start, a 5-speed manual transmission and ergonomic design that has all controls placed conveniently to hand. Suitable for areas of up to 2 acres the 1438M SD has a working width 38'' (98cm).

Lawnflite 603 & 604

Product Information
A large turbo fan assister, coupled with the heavy-duty cutter blade, physically throws and blows grass cuttings, leaves and other debris direct into the large capacity collector. If desired the grass catcher can easily be detached for cutting in extreme conditions using the integral rear ejector chute, which also makes storage more convenient.

The 30” cutting width is ample for gardens up to 1.5 (603 1 acre and 604 1.5 acres). The extra compact build of the 603 and 604 is suited to smaller and difficult to negotiate areas, such as lawns with flowerbeds, trees and bushes etc.
The Lawnflite 603 has been introduced as an economy model 30” machine, If your garden is regularly mown and you do not require the extra horsepower of the 604 then, the 603 may be the tractor for you. The 604 now comes with a more comfortable sliding seat.

Lawnflite Variable Transmission System - An infinitely variable foot operated transmission system that allows gradual and smooth acceleration from neutral to selected top speed. Normal grass collection at crawl speed allows efficient and safe operation in confined areas.
