Turkington's Property arm launched its first project, a high specification office development in Belfast City Centre in 1997.  The tremendous success of this pioneering scheme was the forerunner to a raft of follow-up land acquisitions and developments throughout the country.  The company's background in construction and manufacturing put Turkingtons in prime position to take advantage of further development opportunities.

In recent years, Turkingtons has significantly expanded its operations in Property Development and has been involved in some of the largest and most high profile PFI contracts awarded in Northern Ireland.  Turkingtons were key partners in the award winning design and build and ongoing facilities management of the £100million Laganside Courts Complex in Belfast, and have recently completed construction of the ultra-modern Lisburn Library PFI contract.  Turkingtons have also  recently been awarded the prestigious £16.8million design and build contract for the Rathgael Juvenile Justice centre in Bangor.

Previous notable developments include a 27 acre retail warehousing site in Portadown, a major commercial office development in Belfast (80,000 s.f.), luxury apartments in Castlerock, "The Grange", an up-market cluster housing development in Muckamore, and a number of factories and warehousing facilities for small and large tenants.
