Gretna Community Sports

We are proud to announce we are supporting Gretna Community Sport and there bid for the peoples millions.

Help us change lives!! We are bidding for just under £50,000 from People’s Millions.

The money will help us provide sports equipment for our young people, pay for coaching, and subsidise their team travel costs. Watch Lookaround on ITV Border on Monday 24th November and vote for Gretna Community Sports. There will be two phone numbers, one for landlines and one for mobiles. Calls from landlines should cost no more than 15p and you can call up to 10 times from any line. We often hear about the problems of inner-city areas. But those of us who live in this region know that we suffer from many of the same problems and others besides.

It is more difficult to secure funding for facilities in rural areas. Rising transport costs over the past few years have added greatly to the costs for parents. We have looked to models in our larger cities and seen the benefits they can bring in terms of lifestyle changes for our young people and we believe we can achieve this here. Don’t our children deserve the same opportunities as those in towns and cities?
