Robert launched himself onto the World stage in 2007 when he won the WINMAU World Masters, this was followed by winning the Dutch Open in 2008. Robert joined the PDC in June 2008 and within 18 months had reached the Top 16 of the Official World Rankings, a feat matched only by Raymond van Barneveld and Mervyn King.
