The Crime Shield and Crime Shield Plus is a perforated steel barrier enclosed in an extruded aluminium frame, fitted externally to windows and doors to prevent attacks from vandals and intruders. The finely perforated steel sheet allows virtually unobstructed vision and light penetration. From a distance, windows look like they have been fitted with tinted glass. Crime Shield Plus is a higher security option that has a thicker perforated steel barrier and has passed LPS1175 category 1, the strength test recognized by the insurance industry.

Specification: Visibility & Light - Crime Shield 60% - Crime Shield Plus 50%. Screen: 1.5 mm thick perforated steel sheet. Polyester powder coated in Black (recommended to avoid light as standard. Frame: Unique 30mm x 16mm aluminium extruded frame with pre-drilled fixing holes. Plastic insert to protect fixings. Integral weather seal. Hinges & Hinge Bolts: 3 x steel hinges welded to door frame and door itself. 12.7mm saw-proof pin passing through the 20mm diameter spine. 3 x 15mm diameter hinge bolts incorporated into the hinge.
Locking: 2 x 5 lever British Standard mortise deadlocks fitted as standard. Outer keyholes covered by weld escutcheon plates. Locking mechanism further protected by 5mm steel plate cage. Anchoring: The doors are manufactured to fit directly into openings. Fixed with bolts passing through frame from inside made inaccessible when door closed. All this linked with high specification fixings to assure ability of product to resist attack. Finish: Grey zinc phosphate primed ready for site painting.
