Intacel (UK) LTD commenced trading in August 2000 with a management
team, which at the time, had over 60 years security related experience,
commencing with the armed forces, followed by overseas related security
and then continuing with Intacel (UK) LTD in the UK.
The
company was originally set up to focus on Special Events, being fully
equipped to give the customer the best possible service. While this
side of the company continues to do well, we have now expanded into
many other areas:i.e..:

In
line with current security standards we are adhering to British Standards
BS EN ISO 9001:2000 and the criteria for recognition by the inspectorate
of the Security Industry ISI.

also encourage our officers to further their careers by taking part
in as many specialist types of training as possible.
Our
commitments are to continue to fulfill current customer needs and
to expand our activities in the area of manned guards and uniformed
guarding.
Method
Statement
The overall responsibility for all contracts is placed under our
Managing Director and his team, who are responsible for carrying out
the necessary detailed surveys of proposed locations in consultation
with customer representatives. They also personally oversee the selection
and training of our officers

Availability
A
member of our Operations Management Team is available throughout any
twenty four hour period, ensuring a quick and decisive response to
any potential problem.
Back-up
Supervisory Team
Our
Operations Manager / Area Supervisors continuously visit our clients,
assessing security performance and assisting with the smooth running
of our assignments, including the welfare, discipline and administration
of our guards. Our control room and Head Office in Penkridge operate
twenty four hours a day dealing with customer requests and any queries
regarding administration.

Local
Press, Job Centres, Ex-Forces personnel, via resettlement centres.
Ex-Public Service personnel i.e. Police, Fire & Ambulance Personnel
via specific advertising.
Selection
and Media Skills
Potential officers are assessed at the interview stage to ensure they
articulate with a good command of English, both written and spoken.
It is important their communication skills enable them to communicate
at all levels with flair and initiative yet still command respect
and authority. This respect is further enhanced by selecting staff
with a bearing and stature in keeping with the Security Industry.

Vetting
and Screening
Initial vetting takes place at the interview stage, which comprises
of a telephone check over the previous ten years work experience.
Main vetting procedures are taken up by a vetting officer who may
write to all past employers including the DSS and any references.
All applicants are then required to register with the British Security
Registration Board.
Data Protection Act 1984. Applicants are required to fill in a form
which is sent for a criminal reference check.
Training
All officers complete training at our Head Office in Penkridge and
two days on site. This format complies with BS7499 part one, a standard
approved by BSAI and the International Professional Security Association
(IPSA), also City and Guilds Training.
Communication
Skills
Officers are trained to communicate at all levels, remaining calm,
firm and respectful to all personnel and visitors.
Specialist
Training
Guards can be trained to and above any customer requirements.
Dress
Intacel (UK) Ltd officers have two types of uniform, one is a full
dress uniform, and the other is jacket and grey flannels for situations
where low profile security is required. A military standard and bearing
is required at all times.
Health
and Safety
We comply with the Health and Safety Act 1974.

We carry all the necessary current insurance.
