Root One is an independent garden centre and member of the Horticultural Trade's Association. We took over an existing but very run-down centre in June 2001. Since that time we have re-established plant quality, re-furbished the existing infrastructure to a very high standard, and obtained the necessary planning consent for two further new buildings. One of these has now been built; it houses our coffee shop - Café One - (see café web page for further details and menu) - and an extensive range of garden furniture and giftware. Whilst our business has grown phenomenally over the last five years, we are still a small centre, independently-minded, and committed to providing our customers with a first class service. We seek out the best of what's new and negotiate hard in order to be able to offer great value for money. We make free deliveries to Wallingford and local villages, and only charge to cover our fuel if we have to go further afield. A friendly welcome is extended to all who choose to visit, and we are always happy to offer help and advice.

Where are we?
Root One is situated on the main A4130 road running between Wallingford and Didcot, ½ a mile or so from the Wallingford Ring Road. The site occupies 4 acres and falls within a council designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. From the café terrace there is a fabulous view across open country to the Chiltern Hills. There is ample free parking, and good access to most parts of the centre for the disabled.
