We erect Stick Build
Constructions which we have found from our experience
to be quicker cheaper for the client. The pro's and
con's between Stick and Kit are as follows:
Pros for Stick Build:
1. Cheaper, no factory costs.
2. Less storage on site needed.
3. Quicker to erect.
4. More accurate for finished brickwork.
5. As built on site, no need for cranes or forklifts
to unload wagons of panels.
6. Less deliveries to site.
7. Kit panels can be constructed incorrectly and
out of square, this doesn't happen with Stick Built.
Cons:
From our point of view there
are no advantages to Kit Build over Stick, for
the reasons given above. That’s not to say
that we wouldn't consider a Kit Contract, but we
may try to convert you, previous clients who have
converted have been more than happy with the outcome.
Kit
Build Construction
Panels are manufactured in a factory
and transported to site, where they are constructed
like a large jigsaw by a team of erectors. Kit is
delivered complete so storage is required and lifting
equipment needed for the construction.
Stick
Build Construction
With a Stick Built Construction,
Timber is delivered to site as and when needed
which results in minimum storage. Timber is cut
and building is erected on site by qualified joiners.
Structural working drawings taken from architect’s
drawings are supplied by Silvertec, Structural
Engineers. This means that if any queries arise
they can be dealt with on-site immediately by the
team of erectors.
Why Stick Build?
We have found from experience that
Stick Build is the way ahead in Timber Frame Construction
whether you are building your own dream home or
a block of luxury apartments.
