A small but scarce silvered metal
emblem known as “Fatimas Hand”. This was the emblem
of the Free Arabia or Sonderverband 288 that fought with the German
army in the middle east. The item is in the form of an open hand
with a cut out swastika in the palm. The item is in the form
of a small banner or pole top or possible car pennant top. Made
from nickel plated brass and standing 11.5cms tall. See the book
AFRIKAKORPS, TROPICAL UNIFORMS OF THE GERMAN ARMY 1940-1945, by
Jacques Scipion and Yves Bastien, page 45. VG+++ to better condition. |

A rare and original porcelain commemorative
plate/plaque for FREIKORPS EPP. The item measures 21cms in diameter
and has a large lions head in high relief in the centre. The head
is in a mustard gold colour with a very dark brown border and then
an outer border of pale green. At the base of the green border
there is the inscription in gilt gothic lettering, FREIKORPS EPP
1919. The words Epp and date 1919 have been rubbed and are slightly
indistinct. The plate is in VG++++ condition otherwise and is maker
marked on the reverse, ROSENTHALE GERMANY,KUNSTABTEILUNG SELB. |

a cast circular silver metal plaque with an oak leaf border, showing
in the centre a helmeted soldier firing a K98 rifle. The plaque
measures 70mm in diameter and is mounted on a marble plinth that
stands 120mm tall, this plus the plaque measures a total of 190mm
in height. On the face of the plinth is a small inscribed alloy
plate which reads, GEWEHRSCHIESEN 1 PREIS DANEMARK MARZ 1941. VG+++

model gorget in VG+++ condition complete with its original
neck chains. The gorget is made of quality metals being a pre war
item, it is also maker marked on the tang, C.E.JUNCKER BERLIN and

A number of card cut out figures
in colour being various German nazi period army soldiers. The figures
stand 8.5cms tall and are glued to a wooden base that has the makers
details stamped onto it, RICH. FURST. KIRN. There are various examples
with members of a band playing different instruments, an officer
marching with his sword out, men carying their k98 rifles, mounted
troops, army medics, med carrying their mess tins. All are in VG++++

A scarce item of cutlery. A
tea or grapefruit spoon in hall marked silver. The spoon has a
more pointed end than the usual tea spoon, but could be just a
variation. The handle of the spoon has the LAH intertwined
logo for the SS division Liebstandarte Adolf Hitler. The logo is
impressed into the handle not engraved. The reverse of the spoon
has the following marks, WILLIE in incuse lettering followed by
the crown and crescent and 800 silver content mark. The last mark
shows a walking man carrying something in his hand, this is also
in incuse relief. VG++++ condition. |

the makers details, SAUSCHER WEIDEN and the large SS runes and

A group of assorted items to one
man that bridges his military career over two world wars. The man
is Obergefreiter Richard Zachrau. The items are as follows, three
black/white and sepia coloured photos of German troops, two posed
and one showing the German trenches. A 6x4 black/white official
war photo showing German troops with horse transport crossing a
mountain pass. The mans 1st war MILITARPASS dated 1914 and showing
his career in the infantry and the awards he earned. A second class
Iron cross with ribbon and beige coloured large paper envelope
with handwritten details of the mans award. The Austro-Hungarian
1914-1918 silver service medal and ribbon with accompanying paper
document. German Cross of Honour with swords and ribbon with its
1935 dated citation. Silver and enamel Hamburg cross and stick
pin miniature plus A4 size titled citation paper with details and
small double sided BESITZZEUGNIS with issue number 148973 which
shows the award on the front cover. A gold coloured Hungarian 1914-18
commemorative medal in mint condition complete with its original
burgundy red titled wax paper packet and the original citation
for the award dated 9th |December 1940 but explaining that
it was for the 14/18 war. The mans nazi issue WHERPASS showing
his details. Lastly a few nazi period stamped envelopes addressed
to the man. All items are in VG+++ to near mint condition. |

A group of awards and matching citations
as well as other paperwork all to the one man. The items consist
of the following. An early issue army Flak award in VG+++ to better
condition with its silver/nickel plate finish intact though tarnished
nearly black, a General assault award in VG+++ condition, a Russian
front medal in VG+++ condition, a Rumanian Loyal Service Medal
with swords, a Rumanian Commemorative medal for the Crusade Against
Communism. The citations are as follows, General assault dated
21 Oktober 1941, Russian front medal dated 1st August 1942, Army
Flak award dated 25-6-1943, Rumanian Loyal Service Medal 26- Mai
1943. There is also typed correspondence to the mans wife showing
that on the 17th April 1943 he was awarded the Krim shield, the
citation for which is missing, as is the citation for the Rumanian
medal for the crusade against communism. There are also two other
interim citation documents for the Rumanian medals and another
letter to the mans wife. All the paperwork is in VG+++ condition
and the citations are made out to Obergefreiten ADOLF SCHMEDT who
served in the 2./FLA-BTL. (MOT) 22. The man seems to have
been in this unit for his full career. Worth more research. |
