| Sectional
Doors
As the name implies, a sectional door
is not one single panel – it comprises a number
of linked sections which lift vertically and then slide
horizontally along runners mounted below and parallel
to the garage roof. Sectional doors allow close parking
and maximise drive-through clearance.
Some sectional doors are available with
window options, and of course are easily automated for
remote, power-driven operation. The vertical tracks and
runners used afford excellent protection against forced
opening, and also provide good sealing and weather proofing.
Several manufacturers supply sectional
doors, including Garador, Martin, GDS and Rundum Meir.
In most cases single-skin uninsulated and double-skin
insulated options are available. Steel, GRP and timber
doors can all be obtained.
